School Assemblies of God Educational Complex

(ID: 687 | Status: Donated)
Type: Projekt
Category: Schule
Project manager: Christoph Köhler
Country: Ghana (Afrika)
Product(s): 6 Raspberry Pi PC, 1 Solar System 260W
The school Assemblies of God Educational Complex was founded in the year 2014 by the Assemblies of God women's ministry since then, Mrs. Mary Senaye and Rev Johnnie TK Kuzagbe have been running the school. The 18 teachers teach a total of 235 students in the departments Kindergarten, Primary and JHS In addition to a kindergarten, there are also 6 different school classes. Next to the elementary school there is also a Junior High School with currently 42 students. The relationship between girls and boys is roughly balanced. The school clothes are preferably yellow, blue and Green with our school logo. It is very important to us that our children are brought up in the Christian faith and that they learn to deal with teachers and classmates in a disciplined manner. Classes take place during the week from 8pm to 2:30 pm. The transferred computers arouse great interest on the part of the students. Often times, students learn faster than teachers can teach them. We also try to use the computer to recognize special abilities of students and to promote them accordingly. The computers also enable teachers to further educate themselves. Adult education for parents and villagers is also possible with the computer. We have also set up an Internet that allows students to study the ABIOLA online Academy courses. Adults can also use the computers to obtain information for work, procurement, medicine, and many other areas. We are aware that we will get even more computers from ABIOLA if our students study their courses appropriately. Thanks to our supervisor, Rev Dr. Daniel Ayembilla. ***** ABIOLA is happy to contribute to the education of the students in Ghana. We thank Referent Dr. Daniel Daniel Ayembilla, Referent Andrew Jeremiah Nai-Mensah, Referent Jeffery Ayembilla and Phillip and David and all other helpers.

Landwirtschaftliches Projekt GAVISA in Kpalimé/Togo

(ID: 558 | Status: Open)
Organization: Projekt GAVISA
Type: Projekt
Category: Landwirtschaftliches Projekt
Project manager: Anonym
Country: Togo (Afrika)
Product(s): 1 Solar System 60W
The non-profit project is located about 12 km from Kpalimé, in the village of Yéviéppé-Dzogbé (municipality of Kloto) and covers an area of 3 ha with the following infrastructure: - ½ ha trees and fruit trees, vegetable garden and pineapple field, cultivation of aromatic and medicinal plants, building for plant breeding (3200 sqm) sheepfold (12 sheep) and chicken coop with run for approx. 100 chickens (approx. 2000 sqm) building for the production of tapioca cereals such as Corn, cassava, .. (1.8 ha) Residential building: simple house with 3 small rooms for employees, interns, trainees), pavilion for kitchen and sanitary facilities, guest rooms made of bamboo and pavilion for educational purposes (1200 sqm) - fountain (7 meters deep) and water cistern The site is owned by the non-profit organization GAVISA (with 11 members), which was officially registered in the association register in 2013. Project objectives: Obligation to practice sustainable ecological agriculture (bio-dynamic) Sensitization and cooperation with the farmers in the area, the aim is agriculture without chemical fertilizers with natural crop rotation and green manuring, educational events on agricultural and nutritional questions, cooperation with schools: regular theoretical and practical work with young people from the surrounding area, since 2015 collaboration with an agricultural project in Sokodé, authorization for a 2-year apprenticeship (Certificat d'aptitude à la production agro-bio), internships for school pupils and students from Europe in collaboration with students from Togo (there are also contact partners in Germany). Project problems: high water demand and lack of electricity The consequence: In order to make the GAVISA project fit for the future, we would have to manage a larger part of the property available to us. This implies 1. more workers (interns, trainees) who should also live in the field. 2. Another simple house with several rooms (we can do that with our own financial means). 3. equipping the site with electricity (solar energy for: lighting the house and garden work rooms as well as the possibility of using technical devices such as laptops, cell phone charging, electric hot plates). Thanks to these improvements, we could prepare plantings in the evening and hold seminars after 6 p.m. and optimize the quality of the training (e.g. by doing our own research on the computer or reading specialist articles).

Sossinoun, Dorf an der Achse Kouandé - Ouassa Péhunco

(ID: 662 | Status: Donated)

Category: Dorf
Project manager: Christoph Köhler
Country: Benin (Afrika)
Product(s): 20 Solar Kit 5W
Description of the 21st project: Sossinoun, village on the Kouandé - Ouassa Péhunco axis Sossinoun is a village located about fifteen kilometers from Kouandé on the road which leads in the commune of Ouassa Péhunco, one of the communes of the “2 KP”, that is to say Kouandé - Kérou- Péhunco, three communes of the department of The Atacora, access to which is very difficult since so far none of the said municipalities has yet received any layer of bitumen This village that I visited on Friday August 20, 2021 once again enabled me to realize the precariousness in which some of our populations live in northern Benin and particularly in almost all of the villages of Kouandé. The populations of this village are peasants and the photos taken are proof that people only make a living from working the fields in the sense that most children between 10 and 18 years old were in the fields to help their parents especially that the children are in vacation. It is even clear that parents do not hesitate to ask their school children to stay at home to accompany them in the field while other children are in class In this village, water, a vital source, is a scarce commodity. As for electrical energy, it is non-existent. Apart from the high voltages flowing through the village, there is nowhere the presence of the low voltage. This state of affairs leads us to request the support of ABIOLA in order to allow these populations to come out of the obscurity and to allow the children of the said village to also learn their lessons in the evenings before going to bed. Twenty families have been registered in the said village. They are as follows 1- OROU Bouyagui 2-DAOGUI Nannon, 3-BIO Karimou, 4-TCHOUMON Aboubakar, 5-ABDOULAYE Abiba, 6-BIO Baké, 7-NTCHA Jeanne, 8-SABI Cathérine, 9-BIO Sabi, 10- MOUHAMADOU Amadou, 11-MPO Barikissou, 12-ISSAKOU Brigitte, 13-OROUWIRE Philomène, 04-YAYA Sabi, 15-BIO Fati, 16- KOYI Tites, 17-CHABI DEMAKI Samuel, 18-TISSIYERIMA Jules, 19- BIO WERE Benjamin, 20- CHABI BATA Paul ***** A big thank you to supervisor René Sobabe ABIOLA-TEAM.

The voluntary services offer young people the opportunity to work on projects in West Africa and other parts of the world for a certain period of time. Through their service, the volunteers support social diaconal projects that are initiated and managed by our local partner organizations. You get involved actively and profitably for other people and another society. The voluntary services enable young people to get to know other ways of life and social structures in a new environment. The voluntary services create personal encounters between people of different origins, ways of life and (cultural) influences in the host country. They are also confronted with the poor conditions in the places of action. The family solar kits help the young people at their locations to have light available in the evening hours and to charge their mobile phones so that they can stay connected with their families at home.

Product(s): 50 Solar Kit 5W
The Evangelical Church of the Assemblies of God (EEAD) Tandafa, located in the village of Tandafa in the commune of Toucountouna, department of Atacora, is made up of nothing but peasants whose income does not allow them to meet all their needs, and for whom the existential minimum is extremely lacking. Not only do these populations lack many things, but also the village has no infrastructure apart from the primary school that I saw. The road that leads there is difficult to pass in the rainy season and it was really difficult the day I went there. I did not observe any glimmer of hope for the electrification of this village since there is no pole suggesting the possibility for the village to benefit from it anytime soon. About fifty families have been registered in this church in order to benefit from family solar kits to enable them to come out of the darkness and allow school children to learn their lessons. 1- KPAROPA Albert,2-TORE Jacques, 3- TCHISSOPA Abraham, 4-TORE Janvier,5-SANDAMA Robert,6-KASSAPE Pascal,7-BANDA Matthieu,8-YANTCHA Daniel,9-MANOPA Sunday,10-DAKOU Marc,11- YANTCHA Borna,12-TCHANDO Emile,13-DOUNGATI Augustin,14-MANOPA Edouard,15-GOBA Djimon,16-BONA Jean,17-SONDAMA Josué,18-TORE Esaie,19- YAKOU Grégoire,20-TAMBA Clément,21- TORE Martin,22-TORE Donatien,23-YIROPA Sahi,24-TORE Paul,25-NONGOUTE ¨Paul,26-TORE Gédéon,27-TCHANKPEKA Timothée,28-KATOTCHA Nèkito,29-TOUDJI Blandine,30-SIKA Tchenti,31-KPANA Midjéba,32- WANDO Noel,33-KOUTIRE Aaron,34-KARO Emmanuel,35-MOUSSA Bonna,36- SOUMAILA Yombitou,37 TANTIKOUTE Suzanne,38-MPO Elisabeth,39-IKRO Marie,40-TCHANDO Sarah,41-YANTCHA Luc, 42- LOMPO Sègnidi,43-BRIGA Tchokomi,44- DISSIRE Yakou,45- SOKOTOHOU Rachelle,46- TAMOU Emile,47- BONA Thérèse, 48- BOTO Pauline,49-KABRIKA Pauline,50-DAKOU Marie ***** A big thank you to supervisor René Sobabe ABIOLA-TEAM.

Sèkèrè is the capital of the district whose name it bears. It is one of the districts of the commune of Sinendé in the Borgou department. This village is renowned in the agricultural sector. Corn, soybeans, yams and other agricultural products are produced there. Several women in this village devote themselves to commercial activities, others to rural work in the company of their husbands and some to sewing, weaving, hairdressing and I happily forget some. Pupils and schoolchildren are doing as best they can when it comes to their studies. ABIOLA, like everywhere else, is still in demand to give a beneficial helping hand to these multiple populations who are only waiting for the donation of family solar kits to see their daily lives changed. Medizinische Einrichtung Foutis

Type: Projekt
Category: Medizinische Hilfsstation
Project manager: Elke Wonsiedler
Country: Burkina Faso (Afrika)
Product(s): 3 Solar Kit 5W, 1 Solar System 60W
Burkina Faso is located in West Africa, bordering Ghana, Ivory Coast, Togo and Benin, as well as Niger and Mali. Due to the extreme climatic and geographical conditions, the country is one of the poorest countries in Africa. For a large part of the population of around 18.6 million people, earning essential goods is very difficult, especially during the dry season and extended periods of drought. Water is very limited in the Fouti region and accessible at great expense. At the moment the Deutsch-Burkinische Entwicklungsgemeinschaft e.V. is building a medical facility for the population of Fouti. After the completion of the construction, the medical facility needs electricity to finish the station and to use machines such as: refrigerators for medicines, lights and more. Our concept is based on developing together - creating a partnership at eye level and achieving more together. Our projects are defined with the people on site in constant exchange and their development is documented and discussed. In doing so, it is determined which needs must be urgently addressed, which concerns can be implemented and how we can support the project in joint action, each with their own possibilities.

The project Orphanage Uganda is dedicated to the task of 16 orphans at the age of 6-13 years near Jinja Town to create a new home. For this purpose, previously collected by return donations a piece of land including fencing could be purchased. Already in October 2018 we were able to start construction of the first habitable house. The children, who are thought of with the gift, come from the poorest conditions, are vulnerable and mostly traumatized. The emergence of the new orphanage ensures that these children can grow together with their new siblings into a family. This protective environment can be used to ensure that these children have a show of emotional healing and access to basic education. So far there is no power supply in the White House, so the Abiola TurboCharger and its lighting systems would be a great asset to the orphanage.

Product(s): 50 Solar Kit 5W
A village with difficult access, Manta is one of the districts of the commune of Boukombé in the north-west of Benin. The populations there are mainly peasants leading subsistence agriculture since the commune is mostly surrounded by mountains. This explains the extreme poverty in which these populations live, for whom electric light continues to be a luxury. Women carry out income-generating activities and make a great contribution to the survival of the family. Fifty families have been registered in Manta and hope to benefit from the generosity of the NGO ABIOLA to help them get out of this deplorable situation in which they live. Juambum is in the Anjin area, gateway up the hills to Njinikom Sub division as you approach toward Mulion. The distance from Belo town is 12 kilometers. It has no bordering commu¬nity far north except the hills and parts of Ijim Mountain forest. The community has large compounds and people still largely practice polygamy. You can find more than five wives at a compound, and the man dies, it means five women without a husband. People at Juambum used kerosene lamps. They recharge their phone batteries in Muloin or Anjin. The people practice subsistence agriculture. Crops grown are corn, beans, potatoes, coco-nuts and guinea corn. The most important crop is coffee, and the coffee farms are owned by men. Beans and Irish potatoes are grown mainly by women, mostly widows. ***** We would like to thank project coordinator Rosina Hug for helping with the organization.

Ul-Kpong

(ID: 823 | Status: Open)
Type: Projekt
Category: Dorf
Project manager: Elke Wonsiedler
Country: Ghana (Afrika)
Product(s): 50 Solar Kit 5W
Ul-Kpong (or Ulokpong) lies in the north-west of Ghana. It is a small village surrounded by flat savanna, where a small hill already allows you to see for several kilometres. Even though Ul-Kpong is big and advanced compared to surrounding communities, the position far from major roads makes it impossible to be connected to Ghanas power grid or to have concrete roads. Ul-Kpong has their own primary school and some roadside shops that open every once in a while. Every six days is the market day, where dozens of merchants and farmers come together to sell their products, fruits or fabric to the locals. The market area consists of many thatch-roofed cubicles, next to big, shade-throwing trees. Of course, this place is empty most of the week, but we see teenagers gathering and using their afternoon to relax in the shadow. Farming season is coming so the last few days of peace have to be used. Upon talking to the villagers, they insisted on showing us a nearby sight: Some huge boulders that are stacked on top of each other and can be seen from any point of the village. Apparently, the caves between these rocks have been used by their ancestors for thousands of years as a gathering spot and retreat. Like most Ghanian communities, the people showed extreme hospitality towards us, without knowing our intentions. Outstanding in this community is how many weavers and seamstresses are working by the roadside. At least 20 women were weaving on long rows of string or spinning wheels to make fabric out of wool. Communities like this are among the most needy in Ghana, and any help can elevate countless humans out of impoverished lifes. Solar kits especially are a great way of supporting the people of Ul-Kpong, to get much needed commodities and improve their daily life. The 50 households are: 1. SIEKANYE CHARITY, 1M, 2F = T3; 2. Familien SolarKits für Kouandata

Product(s): 30 Solar Kit 5W
Kouandata, a village located in the commune of Natitingou on the south side is one of the districts of which some villages have the grace to benefit from the Cotonou – Ouagadougou interstate road Several families in this village live in total destitution so that the things essential for their development are sorely lacking. It is this state of affairs that explains my visit to the said village in order to allow these few families present during the few hours to spend there to benefit from the grace and generosity of the NGO ABIOLA, which was right in deciding to grant for poor families a solar kit to allow children in our villages still going to school to have light to learn lessons and for good ladies who carry out income-generating activities to continue to carry them out at night anyway fell With great satisfaction, the populations have welcomed the good and reassure the partner of the good use that will be made of it. A total of 30 families were lucky enough to be registered. They look like this: 1-KOUAGOU Tempè Odile, 2- KOUAGOU N’BEKAN Dikou, 3- NATA Viviane, 4- WEDE Ndah, 5- WOMOU Téna, 6-KOUAGOU Wédè Monique, 7-KOUAGOU M Dieudonné, 8- KOUAGOU Hortense, 9- NTCHA Téna Félicité, 10- NATTA Ntchéi Pélagie, 11- TEKPETI Clarisse, 12- YOMOU Tchati, 13- KOUAGOU NATTE Jean, 14-NTCHA Cathérine, 15-NDIMONTE Ndah, 16- SINHO Sandra, 17- ADJIKE Zakari, 18- NKOUEI Alaba, 19- NTCHA Martine, 20-OKOUANRI Kossi, 21- DEYONTE Genevieve,22-BOTI Kouagou, 23- NTCHA Madinatou, 24- SINCHO Antonin,25- KOUPEI Bénédicte, 26-NKOUEI K Ernest, 27-KOUAGOU Félicien, 28-NDAH Natta, 29- YINKOU Abna, 30- KOUAGOU Koffi ***** A big thank you to supervisor René Sobabe ABIOLA-TEAM.

100 schoolgirls cheer: Finally they have light! For 10 years, TERRE DES FEMMES has made it possible for Mafa girls in North Cameroon who otherwise would not have the means to attend school and do an apprenticeship. They receive a grant that covers tuition, exam fees, school materials and sports equipment. The desire for solar lamps was raised again and again. Because the villages in the northern Mandara Mountains are not yet connected to the electricity grid. Daughters in rural areas are expected to do housework and field work after school. They only have time in the evenings for schoolwork and reading. But that is hardly possible, because only a few have a kerosene torch or flashlight, which also only emit sparse light. That's why TERRE DES FEMMES collected funds for the urgently needed solar lamps in autumn 2020 in a "Donate light" mailing. With significant support from ABIOLA LichtPortal (www.abiola.eu), 100 SolarKits (high-quality solar lamps with solar panels) could finally be distributed to girls in February 2021. Our next goal is to equip five schools in the mountain villages and the local health station, where not a single lightbulb is on in the evening, with Abiola turbo chargers. This means that the rooms can also be used after 6 p.m., because it gets dark in the Mandara Mountains at this time of year, both in summer and in winter. We would like to thank project coordinator Prof. Dr. Godula Kosack for helping with the organization.

Church of the Assemblies of God Korombéné-Moukokotamou This day Saturday, July 23, 2022, the churches of Korombéné and Moukokotamou in the commune of Natitingou joyfully received my visit at the invitation of their pastor Reverend Pastor Jacob AARON. The members of these churches, whether in Korombéné or Moukokotamou, were really enthusiastic because the news brought to them met their real need when one considers that these two churches are very close to the largest city in the department of Atacora. do not benefit from electricity, a very essential commodity for life today and for development. As you can see through the overall photos, the children are in the majority and all are students, hence the need for them to have light to allow them to learn their lessons every evening before going. in bed. While the light will allow these little children to learn their lessons, their mothers will be able to continue by carrying out their activities which allow them to be independent and to participate in the life of the family. When we observe closely, we see that the life led by these populations is very difficult and at the limit unbearable because they lack the minimum subsistence. On behalf of these two churches, a total of 41 families, some of whom are not necessarily from the church, have been taken into account, hoping that the NGO ABIOLA will respond favorably to their needs. The senior pastor of these two churches would like to thank ABIOLA in advance for his generosity in favor of the thousands of African families in general and those of Benin in particular. Windouthionlaye school - Senegal

(ID: 518 | Status: Open)
Organization: Axatin e.V.
Type: Projekt
Category: Schule
Project manager: Christoph Köhler
Country: Senegal (Afrika)
Product(s): 1 Solar System 60W
The school in Savanne, Senegal, which we set up and supervised since a few years ago, needs light, the possibility to charge a cell phone and the possibility to store medication in a cool place. We would be happy about a charger or a TurboCharger. Abiola's note: Our SolarKits are generally not suitable for heating or cooling. Due to the requirements of Axatin e.V., we have now procured a camping cooler that can cool or heat normally with 48W. The device can be operated on the TurboCharger with 220V or 12V. Operation with 48W is possible, but makes little sense, since the battery could only operate the freezer with the batteries at night for a few hours. However, the freezer can cool with 8W in eco mode. So it really makes sense. The freezer must then be placed in an insulated box and can (theoretically) be cooled permanently. We are currently testing this (February 6th, 2020). Christoph

Familien SolarKits für Ul-gozu

(ID: 782 | Status: Donated)
Type: Projekt
Category: Dorf
Project manager: Elke Wonsiedler
Country: Ghana (Afrika)
Product(s): 44 Solar Kit 5W
Ul-gozu is a small community between Ullo, Karni and Ulokpong in the far north-west of Ghana. It is a very rural area without any electricity or similar infrastructure. Upon entering Ul-gozu, the first thing to notice is a group of several giant mango and sheanut trees with thick and vast crowns providing shadow for local children playing and women washing or cooking. A singular road divides the community in two, all the other ways are just small paths leading to the dozens of spread-out huts and compounds. Outstanding in the middle is an about 10 meter tall lightpost with a solar panel attached that seems to be the only artificial light source, but from the locals we hear that it doesn't work reliably. The people are very welcoming and offer us water and freshly farmed groundnuts(peanuts) on arrival. The vast majority of them are self-sustaining farmers, occasionally selling their products on nearby markets. In general, you can sense a strong feeling of community, as the people we already visited follow us around to greet their neighbours, calling each other brother, father and mother and naturally taking care of any strolling children. The solar lamp kits would enable this rural community to finally have access to light in their daily life, making it possible to use the evening and morning for cooking or schoolwork, as the children need to get up very early in the morning in order to walk to school. Another important aspect of the solar kits is the ability to charge the cellphones some of the people own. They use it to call friends, relatives or even their children living in bigger towns, but for now they are only able to charge it occasionally when they visit the next village. After all, keeping in contact with the outside world holds the opportunity for a better future for communities like this. The names of the 44 households are: 1. Naab Berlinda 3m 6f, 2. Kikwit, Demokratische Republik Kongo

(ID: 670 | Status: Donated)

Country: Kongo (Afrika)
Product(s): 25 Solar Kit 5W
Kikwit, Democratic Republic of the Congo, is a city approximately 547 km from the capital Kinshasa. The Ndekezulu village that belongs to the city has no electricity and the families who live there often sleep by the candles, which means that there is too much fire in the village. The children cannot return to their classes, which makes it very difficult to raise the children. The request for help from Solar Kit will be an important support that can only be of use for the light, for the learning of the children, for the charging of the phones. Mr. Cyrille Mupassa, the coordinator of the association "L´avenir est à nous" "ANA" has been looking for a number of years to help this village and its members with the various development projects. ABIOLA thanks Emmanuel Mukulu for organizing, transporting and handing over the SolarKits to the families.

(ID: 870 | Status: Open)

Country: Benin (Afrika)
Product(s): 49 Solar Kit 5W
Dikokoré and Fititamou are two small villages (one at the foothills and the other at the summit) in the hills of the Atacora range in the district of Tampègré, commune of Toucountouna Department of Atacora in the northwest of Benin . These are two small villages of around 400 people, mainly Waaba and Daataba, including around 150 children in school. These are therefore villages that I discovered thanks to the dynamism of the Executive Director of the NGO BCDA Mr. Michel NAHOUAN, who works in the fight against climate change, the preservation and promotion of the identity and culture of peoples mountain regions as well as sustainable economic growth for these peoples. There is no glimmer of hope regarding the possibility of any electrification of these two villages, hence the need for ABIOLA to support them in order to positively change the daily lives of these populations. 49 families were taken into account in the two villages: 1-BONI Baroka,2-NINOPA Tchétou,3-NINOPA Yotto, 4-SEKOU Bounan,5- YORO Dokopé, 6-KOUSSA Tchétou, 7-BONI Issa, 8-YOKOSSI Nagninga, 9-SAGUI Kooma, 10-KOUSSA Wendéyama, 11-KPABENE Yériki, 12-DOKO Kabo, 13-YOKOSSI Koti, 14-WINRIBASSE Doko, 15-YORO Sourou, 16-BONI Wouropé,17- BONGOU Nicolas,18-NTCHA Clément,19-METAMEDE Nda Inès,20-BOTTI Gnintidoma,21-MPO Christophe, 22-TCHANSI Nkoh,23-SEKOU Louis, 24-NTCHA Abidjan,25-SEKOU Bella,26- TCHABATE Colette,27-NTCHA T Audrey,28-NTCHA Marcelline,29- MOUYORE Kammou, 30-NDAH T Rosine , 31-BONGOU Koutchéi, 32-KOUYIENATI Béatrice, 33-NTCHA Ténè,34-DOKO Yotto, 35-MOUYORE Koutchéi, 36-MPO Ténè, 37-KOUYIENATI Parfait, 38-MPO Clarisse, 39-KOUAGOU Koutchéi, 40-MPO Eugénie, 41-BEDIEKOU Félix, 42-METAMEDE Juliette, 43- TCHANDO Iriko, 44-NAGNINGA Tchenti, 45-TCHATIYANKA Honorine, 46-SEKOU Mmédo, 47-TCHESSO Tingator, 48-OKASSE Hélène, 49-NTCHA Pokpetri. ***** A big thank you to supervisor René Sobabe ABIOLA-TEAM.
