Dorf Worou

Worou is a village in the commune of Cobly located in the north-west of Benin. This village allowed me to see another part of the difficulties facing the populations of our country, especially in rural areas. The habitats in this village are scattered and the indigenous populations collaborate with the Fulani who are pastoralists and whose habitats reflect the extreme poverty in which these populations live. One does not notice on the side of these Peulh populations any house built in final materials. In this village going from one house to another even with the motorbike was not easy due to the narrowness of its paths. The indigenous populations are cultivators therefore only live off the products of the fields and therefore subject to the goodwill of rainfall, that is to say when it is good, they have very good harvests and when it is bad then it is good. is famine, misery in the homes. When observed closely and given the slow pace of development of our country, the village visited will not have the chance to see a glimmer of hope in terms of electricity anytime soon. This situation was the motive for which I also went to this village so that ABIOLA could really give them a helping hand by offering them family solar kits which would initially bring out the pupils and schoolchildren of this locality. of their lack of competitiveness in relation to school results, but again this will allow their parents to benefit from the energy to recharge their mobile phones. The proximity of habitats to the bush is also a danger for these populations since they are sufficiently exposed to snake bites and scorpion stings. This donation of solar kits will reduce the risk of snake bites and scorpion stings as much as possible. Note that in this village, unlike some I have passed through, there was no pocket of resistance to this offer. All populations are ready to receive this gift which will allow them in the future to change the way they think about the world. A total of 36 families were registered in the village of Worou namely ***** 1-MAMA Amadou? 2- KAREMPO Dotia Arouna 3- KAREMPO Dotia, 4-LAYA Kadja, 5-BIRIGUI Souaïbou, 6-BIRIGUI Ousman Raïnatou, 7-SAHADOU Ouraïta, 8-IDRISSOU Fatouma, 9-HAMA Hamadou Boula, 10-MOLLY Kesi 11- ABDOULAYE Djalika, 12-ABDOULAYE Moukaïla, 13-SAMBIENI Cécile, 14-SAMBIENI? Näh-Trainings-Workshop Pauline Chabi

(ID: 712 | Status: Donated)
Type: Projekt
Category: Ausbildungszentrum
Project manager: Elke Wonsiedler
Country: Benin (Afrika)
Product(s): 1 Solar System 60W
Sewing Training Workshop Pauline CHABI is a master seamstress residing in the village of Taïacou in the commune of Tanguièta. Married and mother of three children, she lost her husband very early with whom she was fighting since Ignace CHABI had created an orphanage in the said village and both therefore tried to meet the needs of these children in their charge. Unfortunately, after an accident, the husband will be paralyzed for years and death will follow, leaving this woman without means to meet the needs of her children and those of the girls who are in her charge for their training in sewing, that she accepts in her workshop without expecting much from them as training costs. A fighter, she inexorably pursues this noble mission with the means at hand. It should be noted that the orphanage and even the workshop received support from Kinderhilfe, a German NGO to which I say a big thank you. Only 2 years ago I would say that the workshop received from Kinderhilfe more sewing machines and fabrics. Despite Pauline CHABI's desire to provide her workshop with electricity, she finds herself unable to meet not only the needs of her daughters who are dependent on her for their sewing training since they come from poor families, added to all this education and maintenance of her three children. Faced with all the above, I thought I had to exceptionally set up a special project for this woman and the children she cares for so that the NGO ABIOLA can really look into this very critical case by granting her a turbocharger, to allow him to meet this need for electricity not only for his family but also for the workshop and the girls who live there. In doing so, ABIOLA will allow them for the next end-of-year celebrations to make good turnover because it is in these times that the seamstresses work a lot at night to satisfy the customers who are becoming numerous. Hoping as usual that ABIOLA will respond favorably to this solicitation, I would like to say a big thank you in advance to the CEO, Mr. Christoph, for the diligence he will do to ensure that Pauline CHABI, her family and her daughters in training come out of darkness. A big thank you to the supervisor René Sobabe from the ABIOLA team.

Familien SolarKits für Ul-gozu

(ID: 782 | Status: Donated)
Type: Projekt
Category: Dorf
Project manager: Elke Wonsiedler
Country: Ghana (Afrika)
Product(s): 44 Solar Kit 5W
Ul-gozu is a small community between Ullo, Karni and Ulokpong in the far north-west of Ghana. It is a very rural area without any electricity or similar infrastructure. Upon entering Ul-gozu, the first thing to notice is a group of several giant mango and sheanut trees with thick and vast crowns providing shadow for local children playing and women washing or cooking. A singular road divides the community in two, all the other ways are just small paths leading to the dozens of spread-out huts and compounds. Outstanding in the middle is an about 10 meter tall lightpost with a solar panel attached that seems to be the only artificial light source, but from the locals we hear that it doesn't work reliably. The people are very welcoming and offer us water and freshly farmed groundnuts(peanuts) on arrival. The vast majority of them are self-sustaining farmers, occasionally selling their products on nearby markets. In general, you can sense a strong feeling of community, as the people we already visited follow us around to greet their neighbours, calling each other brother, father and mother and naturally taking care of any strolling children. The solar lamp kits would enable this rural community to finally have access to light in their daily life, making it possible to use the evening and morning for cooking or schoolwork, as the children need to get up very early in the morning in order to walk to school. Another important aspect of the solar kits is the ability to charge the cellphones some of the people own. They use it to call friends, relatives or even their children living in bigger towns, but for now they are only able to charge it occasionally when they visit the next village. After all, keeping in contact with the outside world holds the opportunity for a better future for communities like this. The names of the 44 households are: 1. Naab Berlinda 3m 6f, 2. YENDI A/G SCHOOL

(ID: 755 | Status: Open)
Type: Projekt
Category: Schule
Project manager: Elke Wonsiedler
Country: Ghana (Afrika)
Product(s): 4 Raspberry Pi PC
The school Yendi Assemblies of God school was founded in the year 2003 by the Assembly of god. Since then, Pastor Wunime and Mrs. Elizabeth have been running the school. The 18 teachers teach a total of 430 students in the departments KG, Primary, JHS. In addition to a kindergarten, there are also 6 different school classes. Next to the elementary school there is also a Junir High School with currently 350 students. The relationship between girls and boys is roughly balanced. The school clothes are preferably royal blue and sky blue with our school logo. It is very important to us that our children are brought up in the Christian faith and that they learn to deal with teachers and classmates in a disciplined manner. Classes take place during the week from 8am to 2pm. The transferred computers arouse great interest on the part of the students. Often times, students learn faster than teachers can teach them. We also try to use the computer to recognize special abilities of students and to promote them accordingly. The computers also enable teachers to further educate themselves. Adult education for parents and villagers is also possible with the computer. We have also set up an Internet that allows students to study the ABIOLA online Academy courses. Adults can also use the computers to obtain information for work, procurement, medicine, and many other areas. We are aware that we will get even more computers from ABIOLA if our students study their courses appropriately. Thanks to our supervisor, Dr. Daniel Ayembilla. ***** ABIOLA is pleased to be able to contribute to the education of students in Ghana. Many thanks for assistance in setting up the computers to Pastor Dr. Daniel Ayembilla, Referee Andrew Jeremiah Nai-Mensah, Referee Jeffery Ayembilla, and Phillip and David and all the other helpers.

Ecole Primaire Publique de Nièkènèbansou Groupe A

(ID: 649 | Status: Donated)
Type: Projekt
Category: Schule
Project manager: Christoph Köhler
Country: Benin (Afrika)
Product(s): 1 Solar System 60W

(ID: 767 | Status: Donated)
Type: Projekt
Category: Dorf
Project manager: Elke Wonsiedler
Country: Benin (Afrika)
Product(s): 28 Solar Kit 5W
As is the case with the village of Tchantangou, access to Boritchèrèya is not easy, especially in the rainy season. Apart from the school, the village has no other infrastructure. For health and maternity needs, for example, people have to travel long distances either on foot or by motorbike. To these penalties suffered by these populations is added the lack of electricity which hinders many who play a lot on the results of the schoolchildren. Faced with all this, the NGO ABIOLA, whose generosity and commitment to Africa are well established, will undoubtedly pay special attention to the benefit of these families, to bring them out of obscurity and to allow the same opportunity for schoolchildren to revise their lessons and for parents to recharge their mobile phones, the means of communication par excellence all over the world The families below are once again waiting to see the manifestation of his affection for the African peoples in general and for those of Boritchèrèya in particular 1-OBRIKE Idakou 2-NTCHA Tépè Marcelline 3-SAGUI Elisabeth 4- NTCHA Paul 5-NTCHA Elisabeth 6-NTCHA Benoit 7-OKPANRI NTCHA Sylvestre 8-NATTE Rachelle 9- KOUAGOU Blandine 10-NKOUEI Julienne 11-TETO Blandine 12-NAHINI Philomène 13-KOUAGOU Laurent 14-NTCHA Firmin 15-NKOUEI N Nathaniel 16-NATTA Cécile 17-KOUAGOU Pascaline 18-KOUAGOU Martine19-KOUAGOU Ténè 20-NTCHA Jean 21-KOUAGOU Victorine 22-NDAH Kanti 23-DIMONTE Ntcha 24-KOUAGOU Kouagou 25-NIMONTE Nkouei 26-NTCHA Ténè 27-NDAH Cathérine 28-MPO Monique ***** Ein großes Dankeschön an Betreuer René Sobabe ABIOLA-TEAM.

Familien Solarkits für Dèkèrou

(ID: 780 | Status: Donated)
Type: Projekt
Category: Dorf
Project manager: Elke Wonsiedler
Country: Benin (Afrika)
Product(s): 45 Solar Kit 5W
Dèkèrou, a landlocked village in the department of Atacora and precisely in the commune of Kouandé, is made up of several households but all in the same living conditions. Unfortunately, although electrical installations have passed through this village, it is still not electrified, making life very difficult for its inhabitants. For the schoolchildren of this village, it is particularly a nightmare because the parents, as is the case in most rural areas, are not able to offer acceptable conditions for learning their lessons every day. evenings. Those with a little means are forced to buy batteries for flashlights to allow their offspring to read even for a few minutes their reasons because of the poor quality of the batteries they buy. Some women in the said village will collect shea nuts in the months of June-July and August. They leave the houses around 5:30 a.m. without light, thus exposing themselves to snake bites. It should be noted that the shea industry allows these good ladies to make interesting turnovers and the contribution of ABIOLA will allow them to go from now on to the bushes with light, thus putting them out of the risk of snake bites. Once again, the generosity of the NGO ABIOLA is challenged in Dèkèrou in order to bring these hundreds of children out of mediocrity and to help: 1-ISSA François,2-OROU DEKE Lazare,3-IMOROU Simon,4- KOUSSIO René,5-KPEROU Orou, 6-BIOBOUN Salifou,7-ZAKARI Bernard,8-GOUNOU Soulé,9-FOUSSENI Imorou,10-SONKPIAN Fati,11-BRISSO Tabé,12-SINAKPESSIGUI LAFIA Issifou,13-GBEDOUROROU Antoine,14-GROUSSA Léon,15-YACOUBOU Orougoura,16-MAROGUI Paul,17-ANDEMI Taïrou,18-LAFIA Saturnin,19-GROUSSA Moïse,20-SENI Jean,21-DAOU OROU Djibril,22-GBIRA Gnimagui,23-SOKOBASSI Bio,24-AKPAKI Paul,25 GOUROUMA Mounirou,26-SABICOUMA Moussa,27-SINAKPESSIGUI Jacques,28-BONI OROU Marie,29KANTAGOBI Gniré,30-GUERA Mariette,31-YACOUBOU Mohamed,32-BONI idrissou,33-SALIFOU Dotia,34-LOUGA Karim,35-OROU Boubou,36-ISSIFOU Mohamed,37-ASSO Kouri, 38-SEIDOU Matchi,39-SOULE Mada,40-MATCHI Adamou,41-SALIFOU Boukari,42-YACOUBOU Ibrahim,43-OROU Idrissou,44-SOULE Abdoulaye,45-MAMADOU Amina. ***** A big thank you to supervisor René Sobabe ABIOLA-TEAM.

One of the villages of the district of Kouandé, Tokoro is a village very far from modern realities Access to this village is very difficult since it is a track that leads there. No need to recall here that the main activity in almost all the villages of the north is agriculture. This is exercised under the same conditions, that is to say in a rudimentary way. The village has a primary school whose students suffer from the lack of electricity and there is no indication of electrification in the short or medium term in the said village. Organization: ABIOLA gGmbH

Category: Dorf
Project manager: Elke Wonsiedler
Country: Gambia (Afrika)
Product(s): 20 Solar Kit 5W
My name is Waltraud and I live in The Gambia. I was happy to visit a village for Hand in Hand e.V. that has no access to electricity. I drove to the village of Jarko with the Gambian manager of the club. Mr. Mamadou Bojang, the mayor of the village of Jarko, Alkalo, welcomed us with joy. He listened intently and invited his village elders to discuss the possibility of getting these mini solar stations for his village. The joy that people should have the opportunity to have light in the houses, to charge telephones and to use the electricity for other necessary things was very great. This offer was gratefully accepted and the people were extremely happy that it could be very soon. The nearest larger village with power supply is Sibanor, about 5km away. The power supply from the public grid does not reach the towns in the hinterland and is not planned for the next few years either. The people in the village are very grateful, well organized, tidy and very friendly. Our request to take pictures of each family was granted immediately and when they saw themselves in the pictures, they were extremely happy, some of them might not even know what they looked like, I could tell from their reaction. It was a great pleasure for us to be a small tool for the organizations Abiola and Hand in Hand e.V. I wish you every success in installing the systems. Here are the names of the heads of families in the village who will get these facilities. 1. Mamadou Boyang, Alkalo 2. Massanel Boyang 3. Alieu Boyang 4. Abba Boyang 5. Brama Boyang 6. The Biblical Institute of the Assemblies of God of Natitingou was created in 1949 by Missionary WILSON from the United States of America. Its mission is the intellectual and spiritual training of those called to full-time service. Given the large number of conscripts, a second institute has been open in the center of the country since 1991. The current director of the Biblical Institute of the Assemblies of God of Natitingou is the Reverend Pastor KOUDAWA Magloire and the director of that of Dassa Zoumé is the Reverend SAMBIENI Y Félix The Dassa Institute has a staff of 139 students and that of Natitingou has 136 students. The two directors promise to do everything possible to ensure that ABIOLA computers are used wisely. They commit to studying ABIOLA Academy courses. Furthermore, as was the case last year for students at the end of pastoral training at the Natitingou Bible Institute, those from the two institutes also express a desire to benefit from family solar kits, which would help them in positions where they would be affected. A total of 57 students at the end of their training in the two institutes would like to have these ABIOLA solar kits, i.e. 20 at the Natitingou institute and 37 at the Dassa Zoumé institute. ***** ABIOLA is pleased to be able to make a contribution to the education of students in Benin. Many thanks to René Sobabe for helping organize and set up the computers.

For this purpose, previously collected by return donations a piece of land including fencing could be purchased. Already in October 2018 we were able to start construction of the first habitable house. The children, who are thought of with the gift, come from the poorest conditions, are vulnerable and mostly traumatized. The emergence of the new orphanage ensures that these children can grow together with their new siblings into a family. This protective environment can be used to ensure that these children have a show of emotional healing and access to basic education. So far there is no power supply in the White House, so the Abiola TurboCharger and its lighting systems would be a great asset to the orphanage.

Village with red soil located between Tchankada and Kpodji, Arrondissement of Adjido, in the commune of Toviklin, GBèko is about 5 km from TOVIKLIN § It is home to a population living mainly from agriculture and small livestock. no electricity but the GSM network is receptive. The nearest health center is that of Toviklin which, following the reforms, cannot keep a patient for four hours before evacuating him to the Klouékanmè area hospital, which is about 10 km from Gbèko. , with difficult access . The public primary school of Gbèko offers its framework to all the children of the village and the CEG of Tchankada, a few meters away is also available to them. Gbèko is a very nice little village, with typical African habitats, the constructions being in beaten earth. The population is mainly agricultural. The only borehole supplying the population with drinking water has been broken for years and the Town Hall which manages it has done nothing to date Gbèko is a small landlocked village which lacks almost everything I have had the chance to see again thanks to the dynamism of the president of the development association Gbèko Fon after having stayed there 39 years ago. I would like ABIOLA, as is the case for the many families in Benin already, to be able to offer family solar kits to the various registered families. About sixty families have been registered there and we note that it is practically the same families who live there. 1-SOMASSOU Germain,2-EGLA Koffi,3-EGLA Kouamè,4-EGLA Valentin,5-EGLA Gnonhou Bernard,6-DANGBE Valentine, 7-AGBO Martin, 8-DASSI Victor, 9-HOUNNOU Léon, 10-EGLA Nagué, 11- EGLA Vincent,12-EGLA Sèdonou 13-DAKO Alphonse ,14SEDO Kouéchiba,15-EGLA Kouéchiba Angèle,16-DANSOU Sènadé, 17-LOKO Djowonvi,18-KOLA Yébou,19- DASSI Marthe, KASSA Honoré,21GBEKE Kouéssi,22- HOUNNON Soglohoun,23-HOUNNON Esaie,24-HOUNNON Sissi, SADO Siméon,26- KOUESSI Colette,27-TEDO Coovi,28-GODJO Dodji,29-HOUNNON Guy, 30-HOUNNON Sidonie,31-SASSA Samuel,32- KOUAKOU Akouè,33-HOUEBOUME Pierre,334-HOUEBOUME Marc,35-HOUEBOUME Daniel,36-HOUEBOUME jeannette,37-MEME Clémentine,38-MEME Codjo,39-MEME Tchotcho,40-MEME Abbé,41-MENSAH Daniel,42-MENSAH Benjamin,43-MENSAH Donatien, MEME David,45-MARA Hilaire, 46-SOMAKPO Yaovi,47-SOMAKPO Kodédjro,48-DAYIDE Emmanuel,49- DAYIDE Cognanou,50-DAYIDE Léon,51-DAYIDE Philomène, 52-HOUNVAGNAN Dayidé,53-HOUNSOU Léonie,54-MASSI Edagbo,55- KASSA Ablawa,56-DOHOU Jeavenie,57-DOHOU Jacqueline,58-SOUNOU Yao,59-DAYIDE Beaugars,60- DAYIDE Basile ***** A big thank you to supervisor René Sobabe ABIOLA-TEAM.

Product(s): 30 Solar Kit 5W
Kouandata, a village located in the commune of Natitingou on the south side is one of the districts of which some villages have the grace to benefit from the Cotonou – Ouagadougou interstate road Several families in this village live in total destitution so that the things essential for their development are sorely lacking. It is this state of affairs that explains my visit to the said village in order to allow these few families present during the few hours to spend there to benefit from the grace and generosity of the NGO ABIOLA, which was right in deciding to grant for poor families a solar kit to allow children in our villages still going to school to have light to learn lessons and for good ladies who carry out income-generating activities to continue to carry them out at night anyway fell With great satisfaction, the populations have welcomed the good and reassure the partner of the good use that will be made of it. A total of 30 families were lucky enough to be registered. They look like this: 1-KOUAGOU Tempè Odile, 2- KOUAGOU N’BEKAN Dikou, 3- NATA Viviane, 4- WEDE Ndah, 5- WOMOU Téna, 6-KOUAGOU Wédè Monique, 7-KOUAGOU M Dieudonné, 8- KOUAGOU Hortense, 9- NTCHA Téna Félicité, 10- NATTA Ntchéi Pélagie, 11- TEKPETI Clarisse, 12- YOMOU Tchati, 13- KOUAGOU NATTE Jean, 14-NTCHA Cathérine, 15-NDIMONTE Ndah, 16- SINHO Sandra, 17- ADJIKE Zakari, 18- NKOUEI Alaba, 19- NTCHA Martine, 20-OKOUANRI Kossi, 21- DEYONTE Genevieve,22-BOTI Kouagou, 23- NTCHA Madinatou, 24- SINCHO Antonin,25- KOUPEI Bénédicte, 26-NKOUEI K Ernest, 27-KOUAGOU Félicien, 28-NDAH Natta, 29- YINKOU Abna, 30- KOUAGOU Koffi ***** A big thank you to supervisor René Sobabe ABIOLA-TEAM.

Sleeping in a single room with 200 or more people? At the "Christian Home For The Needy" in the south of Nigeria, this is normal. Since 2015, the "Christian home for the needy" has grown from around 450 to currently over 4500 people. The vast majority of these people are children, adolescents and widows who had to flee terrorist attacks. Many of them have seen all their belongings stolen and some of their families killed. In the "Christian Home For The Needy" they were able to find a new home and are provided with everything they need to survive. There is free food, free schooling and above all a safe place to live for everyone. As the number of residents has increased so quickly in recent years, there are major challenges with regard to the accommodation situation. More light is urgently needed in and around the cramped accommodations. An Abiola solar kit should illuminate one of the houses in the area of women / girls in the dark so that it becomes easier and safer to move around in the house, to go to the toilet at night or to study for school in the evenings. In addition, 5 ABIOLA Family SolarKits are added to this project, which the children can then use for going to the toilet, reading, learning and more ..

Country: Ghana (Afrika)
Product(s): 5 Raspberry Pi PC
Rev. Dr. Michael Kafui Kwesi Dei is the founder of Eric Arden Memorial Acadmy. The school is currently under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Linda Day Kuzagbe. It was established in the year 2012 at Ashaiman,Zenu starting with KG., BS1 and BS2. Currently, the school has a total population of 330 of which 180 are females representing 51% and 150 males which represent 49% . The school runs from NURSERY to JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL level with fifteen (20) teaching staff carrying for 13 classes and four (5) non-teaching staff. The school has a computer laboratory with just five computers in operation. The school needs additional computers to enable effective teaching and learning of ICT and also help the students to access information from the internet with the use of various search engines. Classes are held from 8 p.m. to 3 p.m. during the week. The students are really interested in the moved computers. Students frequently learn faster than teachers can teach them. We also strive to use computers to identify pupils' specific abilities and promote them properly. Teachers can also use the computers to better their education. The computer also allows for adult education for parents and villagers. We have also installed an Internet connection so that students can study the ABIOLA online Academy courses. Adults can utilise computers to get information for work, shopping, medical, and a variety of other purposes. We are aware that if our pupils study their courses properly, we will receive even more computers from ABIOLA. Thanks to Rev. Daniel our General Manager ***** ABIOLA is pleased to be able to contribute to the education of students in Ghana. Many thanks for assistance in setting up the computers to Pastor Dr. Daniel Ayembilla, Referee Andrew Jeremiah Nai-Mensah, Referee Jeffery Ayembilla, and Phillip and David and all the other helpers.

The school Assemblies of God school complex was founded in the year 2007 by the Light house Assemblies of God. Since then, Rev. John K. Apenkwa Brown have been running the school. There are 12 teachers teaching a total of 74 students in the departments nursery, primary, and Junior High School. The proportion between girls and boys is roughly balanced with 41 boys and 33 girls. The school clothes are preferably yellow and sky blue. It is very important to us that our children are brought up in the Christian faith and that they learn to deal with teachers and classmates in a disciplined manner. Classes take place during the week from 8am to 3pm. The transferred computers arouse great interest on the part of the students and teachers alike. We also try to use the computer to recognize special abilities of students and to promote them accordingly. The computers also enable teachers to further educate themselves. We have also set up an Internet that allows students to study the ABIOLA online Academy courses. Teachers and school administrator can also use the computers to obtain information for work, procurement, and many other areas. We are aware that we will get even more computers from ABIOLA if our students study their courses appropriately. Dorf Kepousdensik

Country: Benin (Afrika)
Product(s): 39 Solar Kit 5W
Kepousdensik, village of difficult access in the commune of Cobly, department of Atacora in the Republic of Benin, owes its name to the assembly of trees called tamarind trees. visible in the said village. These are 11 tamarind trees the photo of which was taken during our visit and which undoubtedly should serve as the cover photo of the 28th project. The populations of the said village live an indescribable misery since they live from work in the fields where the means used are still rudimentary. Indeed these populations lead a subsistence agriculture and the period Which I went there is the one where they carry out the crops so for them period of fat cows since it is at this moment that they have the minimum to do a little bit facing their basic needs. This village is sorely lacking the minimum and my arrival today in the said village aroused in these populations a joy mixed with fear. A joy because perhaps the NGO ABIOLA will allow them to forget the obscurity in which they sleep once night has fallen, thus causing their school children not to learn their lessons. They are fearful because on many occasions they have been duped by NGOs who have come to make them miraculous promises without a future. The assurance has therefore been given to them. e with ABIOLA, this will not be the case. So an appointment is made with these populations for 2022 when they will be offered these family solar kits just to give these children the chance to have the minimum amount. Necessary for learning their lessons and for parents to enjoy this same offer since they themselves will benefit from the light but also will take advantage to recharge their phones Mobile phones 39 families were registered in the village of Kepousdensik¨¨ 1- DAKOU Jeannette, 2- SANHONGOU Eug¨¦nie, 3-KOMBIENOU Marc, 4-KOLANI Dieudonn¨¦, 5-KOLANI Tawaga, 6 -KOLANI Albert, 7-SAMBIENOU Monique 8-TCHANATE Esa? TCHANTANGOU VILLAGE The village of Tchantangou for those who know the commune of Natitingou knows that it is a famous village because of the presence of gold; but despite everything there are still pockets of extreme poverty still because this mining resource is not accessible to everyone because it is done in an artisanal way. In addition to that, it is a high-risk job, especially in the rainy season. Hardly a year goes by without learning that people have been swallowed up in hollows that have collapsed due to the large amount of water flowing from the nearby mountains. It is therefore a high-risk job so that some people prefer not to run this risk even though a popular adage says: who risks nothing, nothing gains. Several families are content with field work which is not profitable, especially since they do not have large cultivable areas because of the mountains. In this state you recognize with me that life is not at all easy there. The village is quite lively and has many foreigners, especially traders. For these populations ABIOLA could be of great support by allowing them to solve the problem of light for the happiness of their offspring who are of school age. Juambum

(ID: 838 | Status: Open)
Organization: Informatik für Afrika

Project manager: Elke Wonsiedler
Country: Kamerun (Afrika)
Product(s): 200 Solar Kit 5W
Juambum is in the Anjin area, gateway up the hills to Njinikom Sub division as you approach toward Mulion. The distance from Belo town is 12 kilometers. It has no bordering commu¬nity far north except the hills and parts of Ijim Mountain forest. The community has large compounds and people still largely practice polygamy. You can find more than five wives at a compound, and the man dies, it means five women without a husband. People at Juambum used kerosene lamps. They recharge their phone batteries in Muloin or Anjin. The people practice subsistence agriculture. Crops grown are corn, beans, potatoes, coco-nuts and guinea corn. The most important crop is coffee, and the coffee farms are owned by men. Beans and Irish potatoes are grown mainly by women, mostly widows. ***** We would like to thank project coordinator Rosina Hug for helping with the organization.
