Dorf Tchakalakou

(ID: 843 | Status: Open)
Type: Projekt
Category: Dorf
Project manager: Elke Wonsiedler
Country: Benin (Afrika)
Product(s): 50 Solar Kit 5W
It is a village located on the Natitingou-Ouagadougou inter-state road. It is one of the villages of the commune of Toucountouna which is located about thirty kilometers from Natitingou. Even though Tchakalakou is not a landlocked village, it lacks many essential infrastructures for its full development, including electricity which is a very important commodity for all levels of society. Like all the villages already visited in Benin, Tchakalakou is made up of farmers whose main production is yam, which is a tuber that has value for the populations of the North. Yam in the region can be consumed in different ways. It can be eaten fried, boiled, stewed, or pounded which is the favorite meal of northerners. In Tchakalakou, 50 families were registered, namely 1-SAGUI Dakou,2-SAGUI Sika,3-TCHAA Tchandopé,4-SAGUI Kassa,5-DOKOTOROU Raymond,6-MANDO Tchanso,7- TCHESSO Brigitte,8-TCHAA Sotiré,9-DOKO Tchandopé,10-TCHAA Tchaapé, 11-NONGOUTE Clarisse, 12-YORO Wantinèki, 13-SEKOU Alphonse,14-DAKOU Béré,15-PARIKOURO Tinyama,16-MANDO Sahi,17-SANDJOUGOUMA Sahi,18-TCHESSO Nagniga,19-KUITA Josué, 20-TCHANDO Pierre, 21-TCHANDO Enock, 22-SAGUI Baroga, 23-YOKOSSI Sakasakou,24SAGUI Sotiré, 25-TCHESSO Nèkito, 26-TCHANDO Tchenti,27-YORO Moambou,28-TITIWAN Sééma,29-SANDYOUGOUMA Tantikouté,30- YOKOSSI Irotori,31- DAKOU Blaise,32-TITIWAN Paul,33-BRIGA Kooma,34-KASSA François, 35-YORO Titiwan, 36-YORO Darima, 37-YOBIRI Gédéon,38-KASSA Kotié,39- TCHANDO Botiki,40 TITIWAN Youriwan,41- NONGOUTE Sagui, 42-TCHESSO Sabro,43-TITIWAN Romain,44-BRIGA Yirotori,45- PATCHA Yambou,46- SEKOU Nèkito,47- SEKOU Kassa,48- TCHA Tarika, 49-TCHANDO Yinsima,50- TCHESSO Joseph ***** A big thank you to supervisor René Sobabe ABIOLA-TEAM.

Familien SolarKits für Kouandata

(ID: 768 | Status: Donated)

Category: Dorf
Project manager: Elke Wonsiedler
Country: Benin (Afrika)
Product(s): 30 Solar Kit 5W
Kouandata, a village located in the commune of Natitingou on the south side is one of the districts of which some villages have the grace to benefit from the Cotonou – Ouagadougou interstate road Several families in this village live in total destitution so that the things essential for their development are sorely lacking. It is this state of affairs that explains my visit to the said village in order to allow these few families present during the few hours to spend there to benefit from the grace and generosity of the NGO ABIOLA, which was right in deciding to grant for poor families a solar kit to allow children in our villages still going to school to have light to learn lessons and for good ladies who carry out income-generating activities to continue to carry them out at night anyway fell With great satisfaction, the populations have welcomed the good and reassure the partner of the good use that will be made of it. A total of 30 families were lucky enough to be registered. They look like this: 1-KOUAGOU Tempè Odile, 2- KOUAGOU N’BEKAN Dikou, 3- NATA Viviane, 4- WEDE Ndah, 5- WOMOU Téna, 6-KOUAGOU Wédè Monique, 7-KOUAGOU M Dieudonné, 8- KOUAGOU Hortense, 9- NTCHA Téna Félicité, 10- NATTA Ntchéi Pélagie, 11- TEKPETI Clarisse, 12- YOMOU Tchati, 13- KOUAGOU NATTE Jean, 14-NTCHA Cathérine, 15-NDIMONTE Ndah, 16- SINHO Sandra, 17- ADJIKE Zakari, 18- NKOUEI Alaba, 19- NTCHA Martine, 20-OKOUANRI Kossi, 21- DEYONTE Genevieve,22-BOTI Kouagou, 23- NTCHA Madinatou, 24- SINCHO Antonin,25- KOUPEI Bénédicte, 26-NKOUEI K Ernest, 27-KOUAGOU Félicien, 28-NDAH Natta, 29- YINKOU Abna, 30- KOUAGOU Koffi ***** A big thank you to supervisor René Sobabe ABIOLA-TEAM.

Familien SolarKits für Ul-gozu

(ID: 782 | Status: Donated)
Type: Projekt
Category: Dorf
Project manager: Elke Wonsiedler
Country: Ghana (Afrika)
Product(s): 44 Solar Kit 5W
Ul-gozu is a small community between Ullo, Karni and Ulokpong in the far north-west of Ghana. It is a very rural area without any electricity or similar infrastructure. Upon entering Ul-gozu, the first thing to notice is a group of several giant mango and sheanut trees with thick and vast crowns providing shadow for local children playing and women washing or cooking. A singular road divides the community in two, all the other ways are just small paths leading to the dozens of spread-out huts and compounds. Outstanding in the middle is an about 10 meter tall lightpost with a solar panel attached that seems to be the only artificial light source, but from the locals we hear that it doesn't work reliably. The people are very welcoming and offer us water and freshly farmed groundnuts(peanuts) on arrival. The vast majority of them are self-sustaining farmers, occasionally selling their products on nearby markets. In general, you can sense a strong feeling of community, as the people we already visited follow us around to greet their neighbours, calling each other brother, father and mother and naturally taking care of any strolling children. The solar lamp kits would enable this rural community to finally have access to light in their daily life, making it possible to use the evening and morning for cooking or schoolwork, as the children need to get up very early in the morning in order to walk to school. Another important aspect of the solar kits is the ability to charge the cellphones some of the people own. They use it to call friends, relatives or even their children living in bigger towns, but for now they are only able to charge it occasionally when they visit the next village. After all, keeping in contact with the outside world holds the opportunity for a better future for communities like this. The names of the 44 households are: 1. Naab Berlinda 3m 6f, 2. CITY REFUGE A/G SCHOOL

(ID: 757 | Status: Open)
Type: Projekt
Category: Schule
Project manager: Elke Wonsiedler
Country: Ghana (Afrika)
Product(s): 4 Raspberry Pi PC
Rev. James Badu is the current pastor in charge of the City of Refuge School, Kintampo. It was founded in the year 2015. The school now has a total population of 370 students, with 220 females representing 51% and 150 males representing 49%. The school has fifteen (12) teaching personnel and four (4) non-teaching staff from NURSERY to JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL. There are just five computers in use in the school's computer lab. More computers are needed at the school to support successful ICT teaching and learning, as well as to assist students in accessing material from the internet via various search engines. Classes are held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. during the week. The students' interest has been sparked by the repositioned PCs. Students frequently outperform their teachers in terms of learning speed. We also hope to employ technology to recognise and improve particular student abilities. Teachers can also use computers to better their education. Adult education via computer is also possible for parents and villagers. In addition, we have installed an Internet connection so that students can access the ABIOLA online Academy. Adults can use computers to obtain information for business, shopping, and medical needs, among other things. We are aware that if our students complete their courses successfully, we will receive extra computers from ABIOLA. Rev. Daniel, our General Manager, deserves our appreciation. ***** ABIOLA is pleased to be able to contribute to the education of students in Ghana. Many thanks for assistance in setting up the computers to Pastor Dr. Daniel Ayembilla, Referee Andrew Jeremiah Nai-Mensah, Referee Jeffery Ayembilla, and Phillip and David and all the other helpers.

Ul-Kpong

(ID: 823 | Status: Open)
Type: Projekt
Category: Dorf
Project manager: Elke Wonsiedler
Country: Ghana (Afrika)
Product(s): 50 Solar Kit 5W
Ul-Kpong (or Ulokpong) lies in the north-west of Ghana. It is a small village surrounded by flat savanna, where a small hill already allows you to see for several kilometres. Even though Ul-Kpong is big and advanced compared to surrounding communities, the position far from major roads makes it impossible to be connected to Ghanas power grid or to have concrete roads. Ul-Kpong has their own primary school and some roadside shops that open every once in a while. Every six days is the market day, where dozens of merchants and farmers come together to sell their products, fruits or fabric to the locals. The market area consists of many thatch-roofed cubicles, next to big, shade-throwing trees. Of course, this place is empty most of the week, but we see teenagers gathering and using their afternoon to relax in the shadow. Farming season is coming so the last few days of peace have to be used. Upon talking to the villagers, they insisted on showing us a nearby sight: Some huge boulders that are stacked on top of each other and can be seen from any point of the village. Apparently, the caves between these rocks have been used by their ancestors for thousands of years as a gathering spot and retreat. Like most Ghanian communities, the people showed extreme hospitality towards us, without knowing our intentions. Outstanding in this community is how many weavers and seamstresses are working by the roadside. At least 20 women were weaving on long rows of string or spinning wheels to make fabric out of wool. Communities like this are among the most needy in Ghana, and any help can elevate countless humans out of impoverished lifes. Solar kits especially are a great way of supporting the people of Ul-Kpong, to get much needed commodities and improve their daily life. The 50 households are: 1. SIEKANYE CHARITY, 1M, 2F = T3; 2. Tre is a commune in the provinces of Colline, this school is a primary school and runs from the 1st to the 6th grade. After the 6th grade an exam is done. If a student passes this exam, then it can basically go to high school. There is no electricity in this school. The children of the 6th grade should be equipped with an Abiola Powerbank 2600 mA. These can be charged during the day with solar energy in the school. In the evening you can read it or charge a mobile device. Of course, all classrooms will also be lit by the solar system. As a result, the classrooms can also be used in the evening if required (for example tutoring, study groups, supplementary courses, adult education or public events). Sleeping in a single room with 200 or more people? At the "Christian Home For The Needy" in the south of Nigeria, this is normal. Since 2015, the "Christian home for the needy" has grown from around 450 to currently over 4500 people. The vast majority of these people are children, adolescents and widows who had to flee terrorist attacks. Many of them have seen all their belongings stolen and some of their families killed. In the "Christian Home For The Needy" they were able to find a new home and are provided with everything they need to survive. There is free food, free schooling and above all a safe place to live for everyone. As the number of residents has increased so quickly in recent years, there are major challenges with regard to the accommodation situation. More light is urgently needed in and around the cramped accommodations. An Abiola solar kit should illuminate one of the houses in the area of women / girls in the dark so that it becomes easier and safer to move around in the house, to go to the toilet at night or to study for school in the evenings. In addition, 5 ABIOLA Family SolarKits are added to this project, which the children can then use for going to the toilet, reading, learning and more ..

Dakou, ein Dorf im Bezirk Fô-Tance

(ID: 663 | Status: Donated)

Product(s): 30 Solar Kit 5W
Dakou, a village in the Fô-Tancé district Dakou is a village in the district of Fô-Tancé in the commune of Kouandé. Just like in most of the villages already visited, access to this village is very difficult, especially in the middle of the rainy season when the track which leads to the said village is cut in two at the level of a bridge over a river called from Kancou. This day Friday August 13, 2021 when I went in the company of my interpreter, we had narrowly escaped the euphoria of the water because a few minutes after our departure from the said village according to the words of the village chief a heavy rain s' is still cut down and the bridge of this stream was submerged by water and suddenly no one could come or go except those who know how to swim. The populations of this village live in the same conditions if not in worse conditions than those already encountered in the villages already registered in the light portal of ABIOLA. Being therefore in full rainy season, the populations coexist with the reptiles since the houses are surrounded by grasses and shrubs which suddenly is a great risk for them. Apart from the insecurity in which these populations live for lack of electricity, school children suffer a lot because they suffer doubly in the sense that in the evenings after dinner no other activity is possible except to lock themselves in their rooms to meet the next day at school without having first glanced at the lesson of the day before. Once the possibility of allowing them to have family solar kits announced, these populations not only rejoice but also passed through the voice of the village chief and the president of the association of parents of pupils of the said village, expressed their gratitude to the NGO ABIOLA which will no doubt not hesitate for a single moment to grant them this famous sesame necessary for their full development. Familien Solarkits für Dèkèrou

(ID: 780 | Status: Donated)
Type: Projekt
Category: Dorf
Project manager: Elke Wonsiedler
Country: Benin (Afrika)
Product(s): 45 Solar Kit 5W
Dèkèrou, a landlocked village in the department of Atacora and precisely in the commune of Kouandé, is made up of several households but all in the same living conditions. Unfortunately, although electrical installations have passed through this village, it is still not electrified, making life very difficult for its inhabitants. For the schoolchildren of this village, it is particularly a nightmare because the parents, as is the case in most rural areas, are not able to offer acceptable conditions for learning their lessons every day. evenings. Those with a little means are forced to buy batteries for flashlights to allow their offspring to read even for a few minutes their reasons because of the poor quality of the batteries they buy. Some women in the said village will collect shea nuts in the months of June-July and August. They leave the houses around 5:30 a.m. without light, thus exposing themselves to snake bites. It should be noted that the shea industry allows these good ladies to make interesting turnovers and the contribution of ABIOLA will allow them to go from now on to the bushes with light, thus putting them out of the risk of snake bites. Once again, the generosity of the NGO ABIOLA is challenged in Dèkèrou in order to bring these hundreds of children out of mediocrity and to help: 1-ISSA François,2-OROU DEKE Lazare,3-IMOROU Simon,4- KOUSSIO René,5-KPEROU Orou, 6-BIOBOUN Salifou,7-ZAKARI Bernard,8-GOUNOU Soulé,9-FOUSSENI Imorou,10-SONKPIAN Fati,11-BRISSO Tabé,12-SINAKPESSIGUI LAFIA Issifou,13-GBEDOUROROU Antoine,14-GROUSSA Léon,15-YACOUBOU Orougoura,16-MAROGUI Paul,17-ANDEMI Taïrou,18-LAFIA Saturnin,19-GROUSSA Moïse,20-SENI Jean,21-DAOU OROU Djibril,22-GBIRA Gnimagui,23-SOKOBASSI Bio,24-AKPAKI Paul,25 GOUROUMA Mounirou,26-SABICOUMA Moussa,27-SINAKPESSIGUI Jacques,28-BONI OROU Marie,29KANTAGOBI Gniré,30-GUERA Mariette,31-YACOUBOU Mohamed,32-BONI idrissou,33-SALIFOU Dotia,34-LOUGA Karim,35-OROU Boubou,36-ISSIFOU Mohamed,37-ASSO Kouri, 38-SEIDOU Matchi,39-SOULE Mada,40-MATCHI Adamou,41-SALIFOU Boukari,42-YACOUBOU Ibrahim,43-OROU Idrissou,44-SOULE Abdoulaye,45-MAMADOU Amina. ***** A big thank you to supervisor René Sobabe ABIOLA-TEAM.

Aboh villages lies some ten kilometers up the hills from Belo 3 Corners, the main town. It has two main areas, the larger Aboh town area, and Ibalaboh, or literally the Aboh plain. Aboh is also known as the most native village in Kom and as its seat, the compound of the father of the traditional ruler of Kom - the Fon. Inhabi¬tants used kerosene lamps as lighting and if they want to recharge their phone batteries or other heavy duty devices, they have to go down to Jinkfuin. The people practice subsistence agriculture. Crops grown are corn, beans, potatoes, coco-nuts and guinea corn. The most important crop is coffee, and the coffee farms are owned by men. Beans and Irish potatoes are grown mainly by women, mostly widows. ***** We would like to thank project coordinator Rosina Hug for helping with the organization.

The health post Bori is located in the Department of Borgou. Here 3000 inhabitants are medically supplied. Here, too, children are born without light or with simple oil lamps. The village itself has no access to electricity. For years, the association Oredola and Humedica e.V. in the Department of Borgou supplies the population with medical supplies. The health post would benefit greatly from the Abiola solar kit. The project is supervised by http://www.oredola.de/

Dorf Ditanrifari

(ID: 841 | Status: Open)
Type: Projekt
Category: Dorf
Project manager: Elke Wonsiedler
Country: Benin (Afrika)
Product(s): 50 Solar Kit 5W
The village of Ditanrifari is located in the commune of Natitingou and precisely in the district of Kotopounga. It is east of the track leading to Kouandé about ten kilometers away. The populations are all peasants. They actually practice subsistence agriculture due to the lack of resources at their disposal and the poverty of the soil since they regularly grow the same crops and without the possibility of fallowing the land. THEY live as you can imagine in extreme poverty. No infrastructure is visible in this village. The good ladies who engage in the activities of collecting shea nuts are exposed to snake bites because they do not have lamps that will allow them to carry out this activity safely. This state of affairs adds to the problems of schoolchildren who do not perform well in school. The need for family solar kits for these populations is well established. ABIOLA would do useful work for them by giving them the chance to benefit from family solar kits The following families have been registered in this village: 1-KOUAGOU Sévérin,2-NTCHA Nko,3-NATTA Hénoc,4-KOUAGOU Parfait,5-NDAH Elisabeth,6-NDAH Ndah,7-ODOUTO Aaron,8 KOUAGOU Alphonse,9-KOUAGOU Pauline,10-NTCHA Thérèse,11-KOUAGOU Pierre,12-ODOUTO Pierre,13-NTCHA Nkouéi,14-NDAH Kouto,15-NTCHA Marcelline,16-NDAH Barnabas,17-KOUAGOU Marcellin,18-NYETISSINI Tena,19- NTCHA Ntcha,20-KOUAGOU Isaac, 21-KOUAGOU Anne,22-KOIUAGOU Véronique,23-OROU Baké, 24-NTCHA Sylvie,25-NTCHA Pauline,26- NTCHA Noé,27-NKOUEI Mpo,28-WANTI Thomas,29-NTCHA René,30-TCHANDO Christine,31-TORE Naté,32-SABROPA Rebecca,33- NATTE Pascaline, 34-KOSSI Biba,35-NKOUE Rosalie,36-KOUAGOU Alfred,37-KOUAGOU Alice, 38-NIMONTE Kanti,39-NTCHA André,40-MOUDETE Ténè,41-NTCHA M Joseph,42-BERETE Tchocomi,43-NDAH Bibiane,44-NTCHA Cléménce,45-KOUAGOU Jeannette,46-NKOUE Jacques,47-KOUAGOU Marie,48-KOUAGOU Déborah,49-NDAH Anne,50-NDAH Céline ***** A big thank you to supervisor René Sobabe ABIOLA-TEAM.

Hopital et Maternite de accousement de femmes

Product(s): 1 Solar System 60W
In the village of Katck there is a hospital and a maternity ward, which is used by the village community and the surrounding villages. It is a coherent building with an entrance hallway and a minimalist health care provided by a trained nurse. The maternity ward is supervised by a midwife. Both rooms have no power supply. , Particularly important would be the supply of light for both rooms and several fans for the sick or childbearing. In addition, health care in the vestibule takes place, so that a supply of light for the treatment of the sick and care of the childbearing is beneficial. Also for the anteroom a charging station for the mobile phone is desirable. Our contact person is Senny Sagna, who grew up in the village and lives there. Each Senegalese village is run by a village elder / village chief similar to a mayor in Germany. He would be the honorary person who would receive and confirm the solar kit. (Mr. Mamadou Diatta) Furthermore, the solar kits would be presented to the nurse Mr. Jean Baptiste Badji and to the midwife Mrs. Sire Diedhiou. Both are the contact persons in the infirmary. There is no German club that supports this infirmary with maternity ward. Me (Mechthild Flach), together with my husband Karl Rellensmann, would take over the transfer there in December. We are very pleased if this health station in the village area can be supplied with the solar kit system from Abiola.

Familien SolarKits für das Dorf Bouyagnidi

Product(s): 56 Solar Kit 5W
The village of Bouyagnidi is located in the commune of Toucountouna in the district of Kouarfa, the birthplace of President Mathieu KEREKOU who is the one who has spent the most time at the head of the Beninese state. This village that I discovered for the very first time on February 06, 2023 made me think a lot because no glimmer of hope in relation to its electrification is perceptible; these populations will then have a long wait before benefiting from this useful commodity for their own development. The chance that I had and which allowed me to do the work on February 6 and 7 is the fact of having gone to this village with my laptop since it is thanks to this computer that I have was able to recharge my mobile phone for the rest of the work, especially on February 07 As you can already deduce, these populations live in total misery without any infrastructure outside of public schools. The schoolchildren are left to their fate in the evenings since they do not have light to learn the lessons, which suddenly hinders good training and complete success. The people I had the chance to meet expressed their joy at seeing this promise become a reality. I gave them the assurance that ABIOLA will not hesitate to respond to their request in the next few months. Schule Livinghope

(ID: 112 | Status: Open)
Organization: Promoting Africa e.V.
Type: Projekt
Category: Schule
Project manager: Mechthild Flach
Country: Uganda (Afrika)
Product(s): 1 Solar System 60W
Living Hope is a school and continuing education institution in Uganda founded in 2002 by Pastor John Ephraim. In the school about 250 children are taught in cultural techniques and health education. The village community is supported by Pastor John through advice on health issues and small business projects, e.g. Pigs project. There are also afternoon classes for adults. There is now a training workshop for seamstresses and a women's project in which the women meet in the common room and create baskets from old twirled sacks. For Living Hope it would be a great advantage to have light in the six classrooms for learning. In the training rooms for the seamstresses especially the light is missing. They learn at the simplest sewing machines. (Photo) A solar kit can possibly be used to operate an electric sewing machine. Also for the common room electricity for the women would be able to tie around the baskets. Living Hope provides education on a broad basis and thus the key to self-help. Especially important for Living Hope is the further education of young people. Pastor John is trying to build another training workshop. The advice in health issues should enable people to protect themselves through meaningful preventive measures such. B. against AIDS or cleanliness education. Samuel Flach got to know the project and Pastor John in 2010. During this time they established the "pig project". Poor families in the area received two piglets plus a vaccine, which are reared within a year. When the full-grown pigs are pregnant, the families pass on two pigs. The project is now a self-run. Since the end of 2012, this project has been part of the sponsoring association Promoting Africa e.V. Samuel Flach and Mechthild Flach are in charge of the project and maintain regular contact with Pastor John. Living Hope is a relief project that emerged from the village community. Living Hope is supporting the poor and disadvantaged people in society with ideas, goods and small projects that are grown locally and have proven themselves in the Ugandan society. We are very pleased when Abiola GmbH supports Living Hope to charge devices, to operate sewing machines or to have light in the classrooms. The partner Pastor John is already informed and enthusiastic about the idea.

The Church of the Assemblies of God of Koukpagamagou is located in the commune of Boukombé, district of Manta. This church was created a few years ago but has until now been faced with the problem of site since it does not have any real estate. The chapel is therefore erected on land that does not belong to it, which somewhat explains the precariousness in which its members live. Made up mainly of women and children, these members need to be supported by the NGO ABIOLA to allow children to learn their lessons and parents to be able to recharge their cell phones and continue income-generating activities at night. also (women).
