Sleeping in a single room with 200 or more people? At the "Christian Home For The Needy" in the south of Nigeria, this is normal. Since 2015, the "Christian home for the needy" has grown from around 450 to currently over 4500 people. The vast majority of these people are children, adolescents and widows who had to flee terrorist attacks. Many of them have seen all their belongings stolen and some of their families killed. In the "Christian Home For The Needy" they were able to find a new home and are provided with everything they need to survive. There is free food, free schooling and above all a safe place to live for everyone. As the number of residents has increased so quickly in recent years, there are major challenges with regard to the accommodation situation. More light is urgently needed in and around the cramped accommodations. An Abiola solar kit should illuminate one of the houses in the area of the boys / men in the dark so that it becomes easier and safer to move in and around the house, to have light at night to go to the toilet or in the Learn evening hours for school. The boys can also protect themselves better from poisonous animals with more light.

Dorf SOGOU

(ID: 671 | Status: Donated)
Organization: ONG HUMANITÉ TOGO
Type: Projekt
Category: Dorf
Project manager: Christoph Köhler
Country: Togo (Afrika)
Product(s): 50 Solar Kit 5W
IN THE VILLAGE OF SOGOU The village of Sogou is located in the canton of Nayéga; canton belonging to the prefecture of Kpendjal West, a prefecture located in the far north of the country. The village of Sogou is a landlocked village, difficult to access, creating a veritable basin around which are immobilized impressive hills exposed by the inexorable advance of desertification. The village of SOGOU has about 1300 inhabitants who belong to the Gourmantché ethnic group. It has a Village Development Committee (C.V.D.), made up of seven (07) members, namely: • A president • A vice-president • Secretary • A treasurer • An assistant treasurer • Two advisers The mission of the CVD is to promote the development of the village by seeking solutions to the problems affecting the populations: health, education, access to water, deforestation, etc. The strategies used by the CVD are essentially based on advocacy with the traditional (canton chief), administrative (prefect) and political (deputy) authorities. The urgent needs are the construction of boreholes for access to drinking water, school buildings, dispensaries and the reforestation of the bare hills in order to fight against climate change. A- ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL CONTEXT Economically, 90% of the population makes a living mainly from agriculture. It cultivates corn, sorghum, millet, peanuts, rice, soybeans and especially cotton which is the export crop, source of income for the peasants. The dough of maize, millet and sorghum are the staple foods of the people. B- COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT INFRASTRUCTURES 1. In terms of education The village of Sogou has two public primary schools, one in Sogou Tchiel and the other in Djatougou. It also has a general (secondary) education college which was built in 2017 by the GERMAN EMBASSY IN TOGO. The enrollment rate, which had been very low until then, began to improve significantly. 2. In terms of health The village of Sogou does not have a health center. The populations must move to the Naki center hospital located about 7 km from the village. The most frequent diseases are malaria, diarrheal diseases, respiratory infections which, unfortunately, are often treated indigenously. Home births are still common practice; hence the need to build a health center there. 3. In terms of access to drinking water The village of Sogou is a basin because it is surrounded by hills. As a result, the runoff water descends from the hills at high speed and crosses the village without infiltrating. This causes aridity of the soils in Sogou with the consequences of unproductive wells and boreholes. On the other hand, the village has a water reservoir located on the side of the western hills which unfortunately dries up three months after the end of the rains. It is a question of cleaning up this water reservoir and strengthening its dike in order to retain more water and to carry out off-season crops. 4. In terms of energy and rural electrification Sogou is a dark village. It does not have public lighting. This is a major handicap for the pupils who cannot work at night and for the safety of the village. C- IMPACT OF SOLARS KITS ON VILLAGE DEVELOPMENT 1. Home lighting: Home lighting will have a dual security interest: security against theft which is favored by darkness and security against the bite of reptiles and scorpions. 2. Charging the phones: Charging the phones enables their use. Nowadays, the use of the telephone is a real factor of development. The telephone makes it possible to communicate and to have information in real time. It also makes it possible to carry out economic activities through monetary transfers. 3. Student learning: The availability of lighting at home will allow students to study at night. They will thus have better academic performance, and will be able to go far to school. All this will promote the development. ***** ABIOLA thanks the President of the NGO ONG HUMANITÉ TOGO for organizing the project and handing over the SolarKits, which will be in Togo in December 2021.

Hoffnung Academy

(ID: 683 | Status: Donated)
Type: Projekt
Category: Schule
Project manager: Christoph Köhler
Country: Ghana (Afrika)
Product(s): 5 Raspberry Pi PC, 1 Solar System 260W
The Hope Academy is a primary and soon to be junior high school, as well as a creche, nursery and kindergarten, in the eastern region of Ghana. It was founded by Pastor Andrew Jeremiah Nai-Mensah and his wife Sara Nai-Mensah in 2017. The name Hope Academy, after the German word for hope, was inspired by two German missionaries who visited the school while it was being built. It also reflects on the school's mission: To give the kids hope for a bright and fulfilling future by educating and preparing them for the world awaiting them. In total there are 19 teachers and 250 students. The boy to girl ratio amongst the students is about even, if anything there might be a few more girls attending. Right now the school offers creche, nursery and kindergarten classes, primary school classes one to six and junior high school class one. The school is growing with its oldest class, so additionally to the existing elementary degree it is planned to offer degrees from junior high school as well. Other plans for the future are to complete the current school building and to add more classrooms for the future junior high school classes. Also a library for students and teachers is planned. The computers we thankfully received from Abiola are a great addition to our school and are valuable to us because they allow us to educate the kids in all things concerning computers and the internet. It is giving them great opportunities in a world in which the internet is getting more and more relevant and eventually might even give them job advances. Furthermore the teachers can also use them to prepare their classes and to research material and information to use. ***** ABIOLA is happy to contribute to the education of the students in Ghana. We thank Referent Dr. Daniel Daniel Ayembilla, Referent Andrew Jeremiah Nai-Mensah, Referent Jeffery Ayembilla and Phillip and David and all other helpers.

Aduman JHS

(ID: 847 | Status: Open)
Type: Projekt
Category: Schule
Project manager: Elke Wonsiedler
Country: Ghana (Afrika)
Product(s): 3 Raspberry Pi PC
Aduman JHS School was founded in the year 1985 by the church of methodist at Aduman. Since then, Mr. Peter Ansah have been running the school. The school has 25 teachers teaching a total of 563 students in the departments nursery to JHS and 8 non- teaching staff. The relationship between girls and boys is roughly balanced. The school clothes are preferably a prescribed uniform issued by the government. It is very important to us that our children are brought up in the Christian faith and that they learn to deal with teachers and classmates in a disciplined manner. Classes take place during the week from 8am to 3pm. The transferred computers arouse great interest on the part of the students. Often times, students learn faster than teachers can teach them. We also try to use the computer to recognize special abilities of students and to promote them accordingly. The computers also enable teachers to further educate themselves. Adult education for parents and villagers is also possible with the computer. We have also set up an Internet that allows students to study the ABIOLA online Academy courses. Adults can also use the computers to obtain information for work, procurement, medicine, and many other areas. We are aware that we will get even more computers from ABIOLA if our students study their courses appropriately. ***** ABIOLA is pleased to be able to contribute to the education of students in Ghana. Many thanks for assistance in setting up the computers to Pastor Dr. Daniel Ayembilla, Referee Andrew Jeremiah Nai-Mensah, Referee Jeffery Ayembilla, and Phillip and David and all the other helpers.

SwissLink University Douala

(ID: 743 | Status: Open)
Organization: Informatik für Afrika
Type: Projekt
Category: Schule
Project manager: Christoph Köhler
Country: Kamerun (Afrika)
Product(s): 1 Raspberry Pi PC
The higher technical college for business and technology is located in the Southwest (Kumba) and Littoral (Douala) regions of Cameroon and is a private university fully accredited by the Cameroonian Ministry of Higher Education. Education in Cameroon is traditionally more theoretical than practical (vocational), and in today's technological and globalized world, this approach to learning puts young graduates at a disadvantage. They are neither able to be competitive nor to develop their own initiative at the local level and are therefore dependent on employment from the state - a situation that is no longer sustainable and is becoming increasingly difficult. SwissLink is based on the Swiss education system and combines Swiss and Cameroonian academic and professional practices. SwissLink thus offers students in Douala and Kumba a unique experience. ***** ABIOLA is pleased to be able to make a contribution to the education of students in Cameroon. Many thanks to Rosina Hug for helping organize and set up the computer.

Category: Dorf
Project manager: Christoph Köhler
Country: Gambia (Afrika)
Product(s): 20 Solar Kit 5W
My name is Waltraud and I live in Gambia. For Hand in Hand e.V. I was happy to visit a village that has no access to electricity. Together with the Gambian manager of the association I drove to the village of Jarko. The Alkalo, Mayor of Jarko, Mr. Mamadou Bojang, welcomed us with joy. He listened to us eagerly and invited his elders in the village to discuss the possibility of getting these mini solar stations for his village. The joy that one should have the possibility to have light in the houses, to charge telephones and to use the electricity for other necessary things was very great. This offer was gratefully accepted and the people were extremely pleased that it could be very soon. The next larger village with an energy connection is Sibanor, approx. 5km away. The power supply from the public grid does not reach the towns in the hinterland and is also not planned for the next few years. The people in the village are very grateful, well organized, tidy and very friendly. Our request to be allowed to take pictures of each family was granted immediately and when they saw each other in the pictures, they were extremely happy, some may not even know what they look like, I could tell from their reaction. It was a great pleasure for us to be a small tool for the organizations Abiola and Hand in Hand e.V. I wish you every success with installing the systems. Here are the names of the heads of families in the village who will get these facilities. Unfortunately, not all family members were present because they were either at work or at school. ***** Mamadou Bojang, Alkalo, Massanel Bojang, Alieu Bojang, Abba Bojang, Brama Bojang, Alhagie Jarjue, Nuha Jarjue, Foday Colley, Botto Colley, Ousman Jammeh, Manlafi Jammeh, Lamin Jammeh, Sagar Nyassi, Landing Nyassi, Ebrima Jallow, Lamin Jammeh, Bulley Jammeh, Landing Colley, Landing Jarjue

Project manager: Christoph Köhler
Country: Kamerun (Afrika)
Product(s): 4 Raspberry Pi PC
The ESARDEF (Education for Sustainable and Rural Development Foundation) for sustainable and rural development was founded in 2014. It is a non-profit and non-political organization in Cameroon (Sub-Saharan Africa) specifically dedicated to improving education, healthcare, agriculture, environmental security, climate change resilience, nature conservation, democracy and human rights. ESARDEF believes that this is only possible through various educational activities such as: B. Building capacity and infrastructure in schools and communities towards sustainable living through formal and informal education and training programs in all sectors of the community that holistically empower everyone, especially women/girls and children/youth. The board meets three times a year. The Computer Science for Africa Association supports ESARDEF with hardware and school sponsorships. The school was supported with four computer systems from ABIOLA and works with the online courses from the ABIOLA Academy. The project will help more than 200 IDPs (Internal Displaced Persons) annually acquire computer skills that can keep them away from prostitution and illegal businesses. With their computer skills, they will be able to work in private companies or act as public secretaries in documentation centers. All this will counteract the helpless and frustrated poverty they currently find themselves in as they will be able to earn an income for themselves and their families after completing their training. At the end of the training, the girls, young women and youth will be able to understand and use basic computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Publisher, Power Point, Excel and other applications, which is the prerequisite for better employment opportunities. ***** ABIOLA is pleased to be able to make a contribution to the education of students in Cameroon. Weiler Didompè in der Gemeinde Boukombè

(ID: 658 | Status: Donated)
Type: Projekt
Category: Dorf
Project manager: Christoph Köhler
Country: Benin (Afrika)
Product(s): 11 Solar Kit 5W
The hamlet of Didompè in the town of Boukombè that I discovered today Tuesday June 29, 2021 is a very particular hamlet in that it is found in the bush and is located between Natitingou and Boukombé more precisely behind the mountain chain East side GOING 0 Boukombé. What impressed me at this level is the welcome we received from the desperate populations because according to them, NGOs come to them with projects but this time the one that came I mean ABIOLA was with the help from one of their sons, which gave them hope that something will change in their daily lives. Since I started touring, this is the worst trail I have been on so far. In this hamlet, apart from the school which is on the edge of the path and a few rare houses, most of the accommodation is in the bush and you have to get close to it before you realize that people actually live there. Apart from the usefulness of light in the life of schoolchildren in this hamlet, it is also of capital importance for these populations who live there not only for their safety because currently the rainy season is in full swing and therefore exposed to reptiles whose bites are dangerous and sometimes fatal. So if ABIOLA that I represent offered such an opportunity to these populations by granting them these family solar kits, the NGO would have enabled them to simultaneously solve three problems, namely: learning lessons for schoolchildren, the problem of safety and recharging their cell phones. Faced with this great issue, I have no doubt that ABIOLA would not hesitate to look favorably on the grievances of these populations in order to give them a bit of hope. The following families are therefore identified in the said hamlet ***** 1-KOUBATY Benika; 2-N’TCHA Tempa Cathérine; 3-N’TCHA N’dah Joseph; 4-N’TCHA Winka; 5-WINKA Kouto; 6-SEBA N. Kouagou. 7-IDOUGOU Yédonta; 8-NATTA Eric; 9-TENKOUSSI Natta Euvariste; 10-M’PO Kanti; 11-N’KOUEI Kouto Martine; 12-N’TCHA Jacqueline; 13-N’KOUE Téna; 14 –N’TCHA N’tcha François; 15-N’DAH Tempa; 16-NATTE Tempè Marcelline ***** A big thank you to supervisor René Sobabe ABIOLA-TEAM.

SOLAR KITS ABIOLA DISTRIBUTION PROJECT IN NAKI CENTER Naki Est is the capital of Kpendjal Ouest prefecture, a prefecture located in the far north of the country. Naki East is a small urban agglomeration but very densely populated. It houses the administration offices of the new Kpendjal West prefecture, created in 2016. It also houses all the small shops and most of the economic activity. It is crossed right through by the inter-state road Dapaong - Naki East - Borgou - Mandouri - Benin border. The agglomeration of Naki East (center) has about 8,000 inhabitants, the majority of whom belong to the Gourmantché ethnic group. The administration resides there: prefecture, town hall, hospital, college and high school, gendarmerie, police, ..... The officials of these services reside there with their families, which makes Naki East (center) a semi-urban environment. Economically, agricultural activity is not very intense in Naki. Administrative and commercial activities are more important. B- COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT INFRASTRUCTURES 1. In terms of education Naki East has the largest public primary school in the prefecture. Naki East also has the largest general education college and the largest (secondary) high school in the prefecture. 2. In terms of health Naki East has a Prefectural Hospital Center, the largest in the prefecture. This center has been the subject of a recent expansion with the construction of new bocs. This is the prefectural referral hospital. The most frequent diseases are malaria, diarrheal diseases, respiratory infections ...... 3. In terms of access to drinking water Naki East has several boreholes that supply the population. There is not yet a drinking water supply network. 4. In terms of energy and rural electrification Naki Center has a public lighting system powered by a generator. This energy supplies the public highway and public buildings (hospital, prefecture, town hall, gendarmerie, etc.). On the other hand, the population and the homes are not equipped with this lighting and this is a major handicap for the pupils who cannot work at night. Beleuchtung für zwei Grundschulen Kaya und BWANA

(ID: 709 | Status: Open)
Organization: A.N.A. Organisation
Type: Projekt
Category: Schule
Project manager: Elke Wonsiedler
Country: Demokratische Republik Kongo (Afrika)
Product(s): 1 Solar System 60W
The global context associated with the war between Russia and Ukraine only aggravates the situation related to electricity in the world in general and even more seriously in third world countries such as the Democratic Republic of Congo. For almost exactly three years, the government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has established free primary education throughout its territory. This constitutional provision is used to solve the problem of parents employing teachers, ¾ of whom live on less than a dollar, which amounts to poverty. Although free education is effective, some education challenges still exist; we want to determine precisely the electricity in the schools where the pupils cannot study in the evening, and their teachers cannot prepare the lessons in the evening due to lack of electricity in the classrooms. This is the case for the following elementary schools: - Kaya primary school with 251 students (148 boys and 103 girls) and 26 teachers (17 men and 9 women) - BWANA Primary School with 247 students including 112 girls, 22 teachers including 12 women. In these schools, students cannot study in the evening due to the lack of electricity in the classrooms. This lack of electricity is a big concern for parents, but especially for school officials, and has a negative impact on the results of children in these generally declining schools. These schools need from you, if possible, 50 solar kits, a 12V/220V converter and ABIOLA 120W TurboCharger lamps to light several rooms. It is a help for students and their teachers to do their different tasks at night. This is why the association "A NOUS L'AVENIR" submitted this project to ABIOLA to support the development of these students. ABIOLA would like to thank Emmanuel Mukulu for the organization, transport and delivery of the equipment.

Village Kadieni

(ID: 702 | Status: Donated)
Type: Projekt
Category: Dorf
Project manager: Elke Wonsiedler
Country: Benin (Afrika)
Product(s): 65 Solar Kit 5W
The village of Kadiéni is located in the northwest of Benin precisely in the commune of Cobly, district of Datori. It is a village whose population according to the RGPH4 is estimated at 2661 inhabitants including 1291 male and 1370 female with a total of 403 households. My arrival in Kadiéni allowed me to see that apart from the electricity problem which is an obstacle for the development of the said locality, the village faces the lack of network or at least the disruption of the network due to the proximity of the village with Togo. As in almost all of our villages in the north of Benin, the populations live from rural work, which work simply allows them to have the minimum for their subsistence. Apart from the teachers who live there for reasons of service, all the rest are subject to rural activities with rudimentary instruments since agriculture is still done with the hoe. Those of them who have been lucky enough to have oxen or donkeys use them to increase their land area a little, with the obvious consequence of a lack of agricultural inputs in order to have better production. Certainly, the problems of Kadiéni are multifaceted and multidimensional but the helping hand that ABIOLA will give to these few families registered in the village will allow them to have a glimmer of hope since at least the family solar kits that ABIOLA will make available of the said populations will positively change the level of studies of the children in the sense that they will now be able to learn their lessons in the evenings before going to bed. The school was founded in September 2017 by the Victory Assemblies of God church unter the able leadership of the Director Rev. Dr. Williams Wilkinson Wilson-Marfo. It was started gradually with a total of 35 pupils from primary one to three. In no time, the pre-school had to start running as mothers saw the devotion and committment of the teachers and enrolled their wards. The current population of the school ranges from 29 teaching staff and 17 non-teaching staff and a student’s population of 450 students and is still counting. School startes at 7:30am to 3pm each week day. Hearing about the computers donated spiked an interest in both students and teachers. These computers will sharp the cause of teaching and learning. This will cause students and teachers alike to be prepared and ready for the competitive world. Students and teachers will be encourage to explore their technological abilities by studying more at the Abiola Academy. While students explore their computer literacy abilities, special promotion will be given as students perform remarkably. We are much aware of the possibilities of getting more computers as student use the computers, therefore we have inculcated the Abiola academy into our cirricullum to ensure that the computers are judiciously used. we extend a word of appreciation to Rev. Dr. Daniel for his selfless sacrifice to the AGEU and making this a reality. ***** ABIOLA is pleased to be able to contribute to the education of students in Ghana. Many thanks for assistance in setting up the computers to Pastor Dr. Daniel Ayembilla, Referee Andrew Jeremiah Nai-Mensah, Referee Jeffery Ayembilla, and Timo and David and all the other helpers.

Powerhouse Basic School

(ID: 689 | Status: Donated)
Type: Projekt
Category: Schule
Project manager: Christoph Köhler
Country: Ghana (Afrika)
Product(s): 5 Raspberry Pi PC, 1 Solar System 260W
Power House Basic School (PHBS) Jirapa has Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Lab. Firm Lifeline Ministries (FLM), a non-profit organization that has been in operation since 2009, is the owner of this ICT. FLM established the ICT lab in 2016 to serve as a resource center for students and teachers at PHBS and in the community. The PHBS is situated in Jirapa, Upper West Region. Mr. Norberth is the headmaster of the school, which has about 120 students. Jirapa, the then-Pastor of the Assemblies of God, founded the school in 1996. The school couldn't establish an adequate computer resource center on its own. As a consequence, FLM stepped in to provide an ICT lab for the students to use, seeing it as a key tool for growing age. FLM has effectively managed the ICT lab throughout the years. FLM also built a vulnerable children's dormitory, where the NPO selected underprivileged children who were unable to attend school due to poverty, the loss of a parent, or their mother or father's physical disability. FLM helps poor children by paying their school fees, providing health insurance, feeding them three meals a day, and supplying textbooks, exercise books, pens, pencils, school uniforms, shoes, and other necessities. A research was conducted, and it was revealed that one alternative for the children would be the creation of a children's hostel to promote an active learning environment, since there were numerous hurdles to their studying at home, such as a lack of light and conducive learning atmosphere. During the school year, FLM provides them with boarding, and during the summer, they integrate with foster parents or parents. FLM enrolled all of vulnerable children selected in the PHBS, Jirapa. Because the ICT lab is so close to the school and children's dormitories, PHBS students and vulnerable children have an easier time attending ICT lessons. Students learn the principles of computers as well as their technical components in ICT programs. The lab needs to be equipped with more computers, projectors, printers, and photocopiers in order to create the best possible learning environment. The number of computers at the ICT lab had been reduced prior to the arrival of Abiola computers since a big number of them had been spoiled and new parts to fix them could not be found. As a result, the computers in the vast room where the computers were placed were reduced to a single computer for the pupils. The pupils, in reality, have plenty of space to wander about and even interact with a single machine if they like it. They honestly and deeply benefit from Abiola's computers, as well as other Abiola resources like as the Abiola Academy and the RASP Database, among others. The Abiola Academy gives PHBS students a grasp of how computers function as well as the chance to observe, engage in, and practice on a genuine computer system during class and private time. The Abiola program had a favorable effect on both children and adults. We'd like to use this occasion to express our gratitude to Christoph Koehler and Abiola for their kind assistance. You must be conversant with computers and have computer-related skills in order to grasp what Abiola has done. As you can see, the world is going through a technological revolution right now, and anybody who knows information and communications technology (ICT) will have a huge advantage and will be able to integrate into the rapidly evolving technology. Abiola took care of a critical issue in the ICT lab, making it simpler for us to teach and learn about ICT. ICT's scale and independence from the institution, as previously said, provide a tremendous amount of potential that may be fully used. Because FLM believes that computer skills, targeted learning, and a decent education can assist the less fortunate achieve the same level of privilege as the more fortunate, this ICT program has been a success. Everyone can see that this non-profit organization has a promising future ahead of it. This ICT lab and the Vulnerable Children's program could serve as models for other Jirapa schools and the entire region, and FLM would welcome the addition of more computers and more support for the needy children in order to increase the number of children enrolled in the program and to respond to calls for FLM to replicate the program in other parts of Ghana. We'd like to thank Pastor Daniel Ayembilla, the FLM's leader, for his help in every way. We'd like to express our gratitude to Christoph Koehler and Abiola for their contributions of solarkits and a turbocharger, which we much appreciate. We also like to thank David Winges for his assistance in installing Abiola computers and solar systems in Ghana, as well as delivering ICT lessons at PHBS. We want to express our gratitude to Magdalena Von Ochsentein for her compassion and affection for vulnerable children. Magdalena, and David, like the other volunteers, are a gift to FLM. Please, dear reader, have a look at project ID ? Turbocharger, Solarkits, or Project ID? And in order to get further information on them.

Lawra Methodist school, Ghana

(ID: 265 | Status: Donated)
Type: Projekt
Category: Schule
Project manager: Christoph Köhler
Country: Ghana (Afrika)
Product(s): 9 Solar Kit 5W
The Lawra Methodist school was founded by the Methodist Church. The school is attended by nearly 70 students, who are taught by seven teachers and a headmaster. Primary school classes 1 - 6. Not all of the 70 students have electricity at home. There are still houses that have no connection to the electricity. In cooperation with the teachers, a list was compiled of who the student has no electricity at home. With home visits we could then collect more information, take pictures and identify backgrounds. Most of the families are afloat with agriculture and all are very poor. The lack of electricity does not make everyday life easier. Especially in the evening it becomes difficult to cook, learn and have fellowship in the family. It is already dark at 6:00 pm. Even going to the toilet is often difficult and often dangerous. The snakes and scorpions can hide in the dark. Often the whole family shares a flashlight and it is improvised with the mobile phone (one cell phone per family), torches, lanterns or similar! Often students say that they would like to learn more in the evening, but without light it is difficult. And it is more important to use the light for the work in the evening than to learn. With the Solar Family Kits we want to enable the students to have the opportunity to study in the evening, also in order to get better at school and have a chance for a good education. And that families have more than just a small source of light available in the evening.

Dörfer Tampatou und Tecktibayaou

(ID: 675 | Status: Donated)

Project manager: Christoph Köhler
Country: Benin (Afrika)
Product(s): 28 Solar Kit 5W
Tampatou and Tecktibayaou are two villages in the commune of Toucountouna located on the Natitingou-Tanguieta axis that I had the chance to visit today Wednesday, October 20, 2021. I specify here that due to the field work that is underway in these villages, the populations were warned of my coming and therefore they were already waiting for me. Life in these villages is quite difficult. The soils are quite poor nowadays so that without fertilizer the profitability is very low. The population of these two villages live in extreme poverty because they actually practice subsistence agriculture, which does not allow them to meet the basic needs of their families. Electricity is a luxury in these villages since for them what matters is how to find accommodation, how to eat and how to take care of oneself. Children in these two villages suffer a lot to learn their lessons. A man in the village of Tecktibayaou told me that on the eve of my arrival in this village, children were learning their lessons on Tuesday October 19 with a torch. The batteries having become weak, they could not continue. My presence was very well received by these populations who already see that the suffering of these children will decrease a lot as soon as ABIOLA winks at them by granting them the family kit. Their complaint is therefore to grant these families recorded this famous sesame perceived as a luxury for these populations but which in reality is a very important tool for development. They are impatiently awaiting this day when Abiola will tell them, I heard your cry of heart and here is what you always missed. Here is the list of families 1-TCHIMBATA Sylvie, 2-YAKOUARI Thomas, 3-YAKOUARI Nongouté, 4-YANTO Yassima, 5-NONGOUTE IRO Julien 6- KOUAGOU Yedottè, 7-KOUAGOU Baroka, 8-WINDEYAMA Mèré, 9 - YOMBO Thomas, 10- BAROKA Martine, 11-TCHANTI Marcos, 12-SEKOU Célestine, 13-POUSKATE Natikou, 14-OROU Boni, 15-TCHANDO Sika. 16-TANTOUKOUTE Yoro, 17-TAMPEKOU Dokopé, 18-OROU Adama, 19-BONI Yako, 20-WANGOU Kpakiré, 21-FARA Sahi, 22-YOROPE Philomène, 23-KASSA Wantori, 24-KASSA Dakou, 25-KOUTINA Yarou, 26-WINDEYAMA Biouto, 27-TCHOROUKATE Kouarfaté, 28-CHABI Odette. ***** Many thanks to the organizer Rene Sobabe.
